The Ogun State Police Command has ordered an investigation into the recent incident at Government Technical College involving officers from Kemta Police Station, emphasizing its commitment to due process and accountability.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, said the matter has been referred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a thorough examination.

The statement also highlighted the strong collaboration between the police and other security agencies in the state, particularly the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
“The Command, in collaboration with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, will examine the circumstances surrounding the incident exhaustively to ensure due process is followed, with a view to apply sanctions as appropriate and avoid a repeat of such incident,” the statement read.
DSP Babaseyi reassured the public that all security agencies in Ogun State continue to maintain cordial and cooperative relationships to safeguard public safety.
He added that the Command remains committed to professionalism, accountability, and the preservation of law and order.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Ogun State Police Command has urged members of the public to remain calm while the matter is resolved.
