The Ogun State Police Command has provided an update on the case involving Abigeal Nsikak, popularly known as Mirabel on TikTok, following a rape allegation she made online.
According to the Command, the complainant reported at the police station where she was received and subsequently taken to a medical facility for examination as part of efforts to verify her claims.
Police authorities confirmed that she has continued to cooperate with investigators while due process is ongoing.
In consideration of her welfare and psychosocial needs, the police disclosed that she has been released to the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, which has assumed responsibility for her care.
The Ministry also assured the police that she would be made available whenever required as investigations progress.
The Command reiterated that the matter is being handled with professionalism, sensitivity, and diligence, urging members of the public to avoid speculation and allow the investigation to run its full course. It added that further updates would be communicated as necessary.
Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, who issued the statement on Tuesday in Abeokuta, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring justice while safeguarding the welfare of all parties involved.
