Chelsea Football Club have dismissed manager Liam Rosenior following a run of five consecutive Premier League defeats, the club confirmed on Wednesday.
Rosenior, 41, had been in charge for just over three months after joining Chelsea from French side RC Strasbourg Alsace, which is affiliated with the club’s American ownership structure.
The former Brighton and Hull City coach was brought in as part of Chelsea’s ongoing managerial restructuring, but results quickly deteriorated, with the team slipping into a poor run of form in the league.
Club officials said the decision was taken in response to “unsatisfactory results and performances,” with Chelsea now expected to begin the search for a new head coach ahead of a crucial phase of the season.

Further details regarding an interim replacement or permanent appointment are expected in the coming days.
