Governor Ahmed Ododo of Kogi State on Wednesday inaugurated the Governing Council and Principal Officers of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, urging them to reposition the institution for global competitiveness.
The governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the Kogi State Government (SGS), Mrs. Folasade Ayoade, charged the new management team to work diligently and collaboratively to raise the academic standard of the university.
Ododo stressed the importance of commitment, discipline, and loyalty, noting that posterity would judge the new leadership by the impact they make on the institution.
In his response, the Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Mohammed Audu, assured the state government of the council’s readiness to reposition the university as a centre of academic excellence.

He pledged the commitment of management, staff, and students to building a more productive and globally competitive institution.
The newly inaugurated Governing Council includes Prof. Mohammed Audu (Chairman), Dr. Adebayo Ayodele, Dr. Ahmed Jimoh, and Mr. Atule Akoche.
Principal officers appointed include Audu Siyaka as Registrar, Abdulsalami Ahmed as Bursar, Mr. Isa Aminu as University Librarian, and Shaibu Ukwenya as Director of Works.
