The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed that two suspected Ebola cases reported in Yola, Adamawa State, tested negative after two rounds of laboratory testing.
The agency disclosed this in a statement, noting that it was working with the Adamawa State Government to investigate the cases, which were isolated and subjected to laboratory tests.
The NCDC clarified that the index case previously confirmed in the Federal Capital Territory remains the only confirmed Ebola case reported in Nigeria.

It urged Nigerians to remain calm and obtain information from official government and public health channels to avoid misinformation.
The agency also advised individuals experiencing symptoms associated with Ebola, including fever, severe weakness, headache, muscle pain, vomiting, diarrhoea or unexplained bleeding, to seek immediate medical attention.
It particularly urged anyone with such symptoms following possible exposure to provide healthcare workers with relevant travel and contact history to support proper assessment and response.
