Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his planned visit to Iperu in Ogun State for the inauguration of the Gateway International Cargo Airport, opting instead to travel to Plateau State following recent deadly attacks in the area.
According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will visit Jos, the Plateau State capital, to commiserate with the government and people over the gun attacks that claimed several lives.
After the visit to Plateau, Tinubu is expected to proceed to Lagos to observe the Good Friday.
The statement noted that the President will, however, travel to Ogun State on Saturday, April 4, to commission the Gateway International Cargo Airport and inaugurate two commercial aircraft aimed at enhancing export and import activities in the state.
During the visit, Tinubu will also inaugurate the new Federal Operations Unit edifice of the Nigerian Customs Service, along with its operational vehicles.
He will subsequently return to Lagos to continue the Easter holiday, during which he is expected to commission several infrastructure projects executed by the administration of Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The projects include the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, a Multi-Agency Complex named after the President, and a school complex.
The President is also scheduled to visit Bayelsa State on April 10, where he will commission projects completed by Governor Duoye Diri before returning to Abuja.
