The annual summit, scheduled for September 24, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, is expected to bring together policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, transport operators, development partners, academics and other stakeholders to chart a course for strengthening Nigeria’s transportation and logistics sector.
Themed “Unlocking Nigeria’s Economic Growth Through Transportation Logistics,” the summit will examine strategies for improving logistics infrastructure, policy implementation, safety, innovation and sustainable development across the country’s transport ecosystem.
Disclosing details of the event, TCAN Chairman, Mr. Tola Adenubi, said discussions would focus on the current state of Nigeria’s transportation logistics architecture across road, rail, maritime, inland waterways and aviation, with participants expected to identify solutions to bottlenecks affecting seamless cargo and passenger movement.
He added that stakeholders would also deliberate on multimodal transport integration, investment opportunities in logistics and supply chains, digital transformation, infrastructure financing, public-private partnerships and regulatory reforms needed to enhance efficiency and global competitiveness.
Adenubi said the participation of the three senior government officials underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to engaging stakeholders and advancing reforms aimed at transforming Nigeria’s transport sector.
According to him, Oyetola is expected to deliver the keynote address outlining the Federal Government’s logistics agenda, ongoing reforms, infrastructure investments and policies designed to improve intermodal connectivity at the nation’s ports, strengthen logistics efficiency and stimulate economic growth.

Similarly, the NRC Managing Director, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, will present updates on Nigeria’s railway modernisation programme, operational improvements, rail safety, passenger and freight services, and the corporation’s contribution to national economic development.
