Osun 2026: Oyebamiji reaffirms commitment after meeting Tinubu

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, has said he is strengthened by President Bola Tinubu’s enduring belief in his leadership capacity ahead of the August 15 off-cycle election.

Oyebamiji made the remark after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Monday evening in Abuja, describing the engagement as reassuring and pivotal to his resolve to promote unity and sustainable development in the state.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos, the APC flagbearer said the President’s confidence in him had further solidified his determination to offer purposeful leadership rooted in economic renewal and people-centred policies.

“I am strengthened by Mr President’s enduring belief in my capacity and in the principles of responsible leadership and development,” Oyebamiji said.

He added that the meeting renewed his commitment to consolidating party unity and intensifying grassroots mobilisation across Osun State in preparation for the poll.

“The engagement has renewed my commitment to consolidate party unity and deepen grassroots mobilisation across Osun,” he stated.

Oyebamiji was accompanied to the meeting by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Osun governor, Adegboyega Oyetola.

The APC candidate noted that President Tinubu’s broader vision for national prosperity would serve as a guide for his development blueprint for the state.

“Mr President’s vision for national prosperity provides a clear framework for repositioning Osun for sustainable growth and shared prosperity,” he said.

Describing the task ahead as one of service, Oyebamiji assured residents of inclusive governance, long-term economic stability and a united political front.

“With unity of purpose and collective effort, we will deliver the Osun of our shared aspirations,” he added.
