The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Bayo Ojulari, has commended the Sub-Saharan African International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (SAIPEC) for its vision, resilience, and consistency, describing the platform as one of Africa’s most respected energy partners.

Speaking in a goodwill message at SAIPEC 2026, Ojulari noted that within a decade, the conference has evolved into “a powerful statement of African capability,” demonstrating the continent’s ability to convene stakeholders, foster collaboration, and compete at the highest global standards.

“NNPC Limited is proud to be a strategic partner of this generation. This partnership reflects a shared conviction that Africa’s energy future must be shaped by Africans, anchored on strong institutions, credible policies, capable indigenous companies, and partnerships that deliver real value,” he said.

Ojulari expressed confidence that the 2026 edition of the conference would be ambitious and impactful, highlighting the importance of ongoing discussions around gas development, investment resilience, local content inclusion, and youth development.

According to him, these conversations directly address Africa’s realities and should reinforce confidence in both Nigeria’s and the continent’s capabilities.

“It should speak to an Africa that is no longer a content follower, but a real, credible leader,” he stated.

The NNPC boss reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening partnerships, supporting indigenous capacity, and advancing gas development as a catalyst for industrialization.

He added that the goal is to ensure Africa’s energy narrative reflects creation, responsibility, and opportunity, “told by us.”

As the conference marks its 10th anniversary, Ojulari urged stakeholders to use the milestone as an opportunity to recommit to building a stronger energy future for the continent.

He congratulated the organizers and wished participants a successful and inspiring conference.
