The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s investment climate through strengthened inter-agency collaboration.

The development followed a meeting on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the corporate headquarters of NUPRC in Abuja, where the Commission’s Chief Executive, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, hosted the Director-General of NIMASA, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, along with his management team.

During the engagement, both regulatory bodies discussed strategies to streamline operations, improve regulatory oversight, and create a more conducive environment for investors in Nigeria’s upstream petroleum and maritime sectors.

The collaboration signals a unified approach to addressing sectoral challenges and leveraging synergies between upstream petroleum and maritime administration, with the aim of boosting investor confidence and driving sustainable economic growth in Nigeria.
