Green Energy International Limited and Lekoil Nigeria Limited have issued a joint statement addressing recent media reports surrounding a court matter linked to a commercial dispute with a service provider, stressing that the issue remains under arbitration and has not disrupted their operations.
The companies explained that the dispute concerns a contractual claim currently undergoing resolution through an arbitral tribunal in line with the parties’ agreement.
They noted that the financial sums referenced in some reports are unliquidated and remain subject to review and audit under the contractual framework.
According to the statement, both firms had already initiated proceedings at the Federal High Court of Nigeria in Suit No. FHC/L/CS/225/26 before the interim application reported in the media.
The filing included a request for an anti-suit injunction intended to safeguard the agreed arbitration process, and the documents were duly served on the service provider, H-PTP, ahead of the subsequent court action.
The companies declined further comment, citing the ongoing judicial and arbitral processes.
They, however, reassured stakeholders that all assets continue to operate safely and in full compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations, adding that there has been no disruption to business activities.
Green Energy and Lekoil Nigeria also affirmed their readiness to vigorously defend their interests through appropriate legal channels while reserving the right to take action against any inaccurate or defamatory publications related to the dispute.
