The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Dayo Mobereola, has called on Christians to use the Easter celebration as a period of sober reflection on the core ideals of Christianity and a renewed commitment to personal and spiritual growth.
In his Easter message, Mobereola emphasised that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolise sacrifice, hope, and renewal.
He urged Christians to draw inspiration from the season by strengthening their faith in God and maintaining hope in Nigeria’s future.
“The Easter celebration, which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, should inspire renewed purpose, fresh beginnings, and continued sacrifice to the service of the nation and humanity,” he said

The NIMASA boss further charged Christians to uphold values such as love, compassion, discipline, empathy, and sacrifice, noting that these virtues are essential for national development.
“These values inspire patriotism, which is at the root of the growth and development of any nation,” he added.
Mobereola also encouraged Nigerians across all walks of life to imbibe the lessons of Easter and work collectively towards building a safer and more prosperous country.
