The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) have agreed to strengthen collaboration aimed at enhancing transparency and driving economic growth in Nigeria.
The resolution was reached during a courtesy visit by the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of NCC, Aminu Maida, to the Registrar-General/CEO of CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, in Abuja.

Speaking during the meeting, Maida commended CAC for its strides in digitisation, noting that the Commission’s reforms have significantly improved service delivery.
He expressed NCC’s readiness to leverage CAC’s experience to strengthen its internal processes, particularly in licensing operations.

The NCC boss also emphasised the importance of ensuring that licensees comply with provisions of the Nigerian Communications Act 2003, especially in areas relating to ownership and control of shares in licensed companies.
According to him, closer collaboration with CAC will enhance regulatory oversight, promote transparency, and improve operational efficiency within the telecommunications sector.
In his response, Magaji said both regulatory bodies share a common mandate of fostering economic growth and ensuring compliance across sectors.
