Honourable Afeez Olalekan Awojobi, popularly known as UP AWO, has expressed his intention to contest for a seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly in the 2027 elections, outlining an agenda centered on inclusive development and community transformation in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.
In a statement outlining his vision, Awojobi said his aspiration is driven by the goal of building “a prosperous, united, and developed Obafemi Owode where opportunities are accessible to all,” stressing that purposeful leadership remains key to achieving sustainable progress.
He highlighted key priority areas of his proposed legislative focus, including improved access to quality education through scholarships and upgraded school infrastructure, youth empowerment initiatives aimed at job creation and entrepreneurship support, and the development of critical infrastructure such as roads, electricity, and water systems.
Awojobi also pledged to prioritise healthcare delivery by promoting affordable and accessible medical services, while strengthening agricultural productivity and small and medium-scale enterprises to boost local economic growth.

Describing his mission as more than a political campaign, he said it represents “a movement toward sustainable growth and community transformation,” anchored on service, integrity, and progress.
He called for collective support, saying a better future is achievable through shared commitment to development-oriented leadership.
