The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored bulk electricity supply through its Kukwaba 132kV Transmission Substation in Abuja after an outage that lasted about 40 hours.
TCN announced that power supply was restored at 4:16 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, following an interruption that began at 12:24 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14.
According to the company, the outage resulted from the tripping of the 33kV feeder L36, while restoration was delayed by a faulty line circuit breaker.
TCN said its engineers successfully connected feeder L36 to feeder L34 to restore bulk electricity supply to the affected load centres served by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC).
