The Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) has stepped up activities for Customer Service Week 2026, engaging commuters at its Falomo Jetty in Ikoyi with refreshments, music, giveaways and other interactive activities.
The week-long celebration, themed around improving customer experience, has seen various departments of the authority take turns engaging passengers and expressing appreciation for their patronage.

The Operations Department opened the activities by interacting with commuters at the jetty and offering them light refreshments.
The Accounts and Audit Department subsequently hosted commuters with refreshments, music and dancing, creating a lively atmosphere at the terminal.
As part of the engagement, Caverton also surprised 10 commuters with free boat tickets to Ikorodu, further adding to the activities aimed at rewarding passengers and promoting positive experiences on Lagos waterways.

The Legal, Administration and Human Resources departments, in collaboration with the Business Development unit, also hosted commuters under the theme “Spice, Sauce and Service.”
The programme featured a mascot appearance that attracted the attention of commuters and added an entertainment element to the customer engagement.

LASWA said the activities were designed not only to celebrate Customer Service Week but also to demonstrate its appreciation for commuters who use the state’s waterways.
The authority said the initiative was part of its broader commitment to improving service delivery and strengthening its relationship with passengers.
“Excellent service is not just about what we do, it is about how we make our commuters feel,” LASWA said.
The waterways authority said the Customer Service Week activities are still ongoing, with more departments expected to engage commuters before the end of the week.
The initiative comes as LASWA continues efforts to promote efficient and passenger-friendly water transportation in Lagos, while placing greater emphasis on customer experience across its waterways operations.
Through the week-long activities, the authority is seeking to reinforce the message that quality service extends beyond transportation to include how commuters are treated before, during and after their journeys.
