Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) has dismissed reports claiming its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Innocent Chukwuma, is planning to relocate business operations and investments to Ghana, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement issued by its management, the company said the reports circulating on social media do not reflect the intentions of either Chukwuma or the organisation.
IVM reaffirmed its identity as a proudly Nigerian company, stressing that it remains committed to contributing to the country’s industrial and economic development through sustained local investment, job creation, and innovation.
“Nigeria is home. Beyond sentiment, it remains a land of immense opportunity that IVM continues to believe in and actively invest in,” the statement noted.
The company emphasised that rather than divesting, it is expanding its operations and strengthening its presence within the country as part of its long-term growth strategy in Africa’s automotive sector.
As part of this expansion, IVM disclosed that it is advancing plans in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Electric Vehicle (EV) production.
It added that a major facility currently under development in Nnewi is nearing completion and will support the production of cleaner and more sustainable transport solutions.

The company said the initiatives align with global trends toward energy transition and Nigeria’s push for cost-effective and environmentally friendly transportation.
IVM urged the public and media organisations to disregard unverified reports and rely only on official communications from the company regarding its operations and future plans.
