SIFAX Shipping Bonded Terminal has commissioned a new office complex at its operational base on Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos, as part of efforts to improve service delivery and strengthen collaboration with government agencies and industry stakeholders.
The facility, commissioned by Mrs. Wunmi Eniola-Jegede, Group Coordinating Director, on behalf of SIFAX Group Executive Chairman, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, will accommodate staff and officials of government agencies operating within the terminal, including the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The commissioning ceremony attracted corporate executives, maritime industry stakeholders, regulatory agencies, clearing agents and management staff from various subsidiaries of SIFAX Group.
Speaking on the occasion, Afolabi commended the project team, contractors, consultants and management for completing the building within a remarkable timeframe.
He said the project was primarily aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery, urging personnel who would work in the facility to uphold the values associated with the SIFAX Group brand.

“As we celebrate this achievement, the true value of this building will not be measured by its appearance, but by what we accomplish within its walls,” Afolabi said.
He charged the occupants to make the facility a centre of excellence driven by professionalism, innovation, teamwork, accountability and exceptional customer service.
The Managing Director of SIFAX Shipping Bonded Terminal, Mr. Kayode Kolade, attributed the successful completion of the project to careful planning, strategic investments by the board and the commitment of stakeholders involved in its execution.
Kolade said the new facility would provide an environment conducive to improved service delivery, greater productivity, stronger collaboration and new growth opportunities.

Among stakeholders at the event was Deputy Controller O.A. Omini, who led the Nigerian Customs Service delegation, as well as Mr. Wale Cole, Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA).
Clearing agents and management personnel from different SIFAX Group subsidiaries also attended the commissioning.
